noooooooooooo. not missing - just busy. ;0) But Thanks Kathy for wanting to send out a search party!!! Made me feel "wanted!" I was going to post a few days ago to wish everyone a HAPPY THANKSGIVING... but I forgot. I was making pies. WHICH by the way - were sooooo yummy! I was assigned dessert this year and my mom said "make 1 pumpkin roll and 1 pie". serious? That's ALL? Nate's family consumes like.. EIGHT pies!!!!! I guess my family hasn't acquired a taste for higher end sugars. Anyway - I thought - no. I am going to go ALL OUT! I am making FOUR PIES! Nate was SO proud. I made the crust from scratch, and everything. He EVEN said "These are better than my MOM's PIES!!!!" Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh sooooooooo lovely to hear that from my sweet husband!!!! So - guess how many pies my family consumed?
1/3. of. one. pie.
ya.
Next year? one pie. That's ALL I'm making. :0)
We did have a lovely Thanksgiving. Loved teaching the kids the reason for the holiday. Loved hearing my boy be the first one to say Thank you to Grandma and Grandpa. love that.
OK - anyway... Pictures to post. I've had a rash of people I know come to me this last week. So these are especially meaningful. I know these kids. I see them all the time. So it's fun to draw out their REAL selves and see it in print!
I loved this image. It spoke to me. It's how I feel with my girl on my lap. The mom said "Ohhh - I can see me whispering in her ear at church, telling her a little story." Which made me so happy that she "felt" it too.
Oh this darling family! Love the realness (that's a word, right?) from this brother! His genuine smile. happy guy.
Freckles. they make me happy (ummm - I say that a lot, ya???) Every kid should have freckles!
Delicious, delicious QUILTS!!! This is her quilt!. Which made me love it all even more! Then those EYES!
I have even more posts - but I'll post next week. ;0) I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!
tata.
you are alive and well. That is what I am thankful for. I love these pictures. Save a date for me..we will talk later.

Kara, I love your pie story too! I was in charge of pies this year at my husband's family, and I wanted to make 8. He got me down to 6. And we only came home a portion of two different ones. I am with you, even if they don't get eaten, if you are going to have pies at thanksgiving, have PIE! I guess I think when it come to baking, if one is good, then 3 are better!
I am glad that Nate was proud of your baking talents! That is what husbands are for!
I really like the picture of the girl with her quilt, and the first one of the mom with her daughter, and I like the smiles on the second one with all the kids, and the cute boy with those freckles! So I guess I love them all.
Hope all is going well!
