Brown Eyes

I wish I had an eye color.  They're not blue - they're not green... they're nothing.  My little boy calls them grey.  Hmmmm - oh well.  So when I came across THESE eyes on today's photo shoot, I had to post.  Now I wish I had brown eyes!

Kim & Chris are Engaged!

Finally - after MONTHS and MONTHS they're engaged! :0)  This fabulously DARLING couple was SO fantastic to snap! We were laughing the entire time - mostly at Kim's realization that she doesn't like feet... oops!

Their personalities were meshed so well! Chris was so easy going. They'll be VERY happy. And look at her perfect white teeth!

A Time to Grow

Don't you love this stage - where they're still little - but growing bigger every day?

You can see their personality come shining through.  It's in these moments that you realize their "chub" is thinning out - and soon they'll be off and running!  I must say - I tried the same shot with my little girl - and I couldn't make myself post it.  All you could see were my DIRTY floors - REALLY! :0)

An oldie...

... but a goodie! I'm taking more pictures of this client next week, (which happens to be the same client with the crazy hair in my banner!) and we were deciding on hair styles when I came upon this one and couldn't pass up the post. 

I *really* wish you could see her with her moon boots and goggles - a personal favorite of mine! :0)

Why do they grow so fast?

This is MY little boy - my little almost 5 year old.  Sometimes I think that no one else loves their boy like I love my boy - and then I realize - we all feel the same. 

And although he doesn't look it in these - he's EXTREMELY hard to photograph.  So you can imagine my joy when he looked like this! :0)

Don't you wish...

you could be as beautiful as this at 8 years of age?  The best part - her inward beauty is better than her outward beauty! I love this photo because it was pure. raw. funky. real.  A real moment - real emotion - nothing fake - nothing set up.  I'm almost tempted to print one for my own wall! 

This is one of the 100+ pictures that went into one of two Parade of Homes.  If you're in the area - check out the Clinton home and the Eden home.  I'll take a picture and post it this weekend - you would flip over these homes!

Black and White? Me?

I really should go to bed - but I'm having too much fun posting these pics.  For me black and white creates more of an emotion ... especially in pictures like this.

Every day life

The beauty of this picture caught me off guard.  This was a VERY casual moment - and look at the relationship - the story that can be told just through one little click of a camera!  This will be one her daughter cherishes forever.  To see - in the softness - how much her mom loves her.

As much as I'm trying not to be a black and white freak - this one really does the trick!

How do I get so lucky?

... to photograph such beautiful children?

And what do you do when you love the image in color AND black and white???

You keep them both! :0)  Luckily their brother was JUST as darling - I just haven't gotten that far in proofing...that's tomorrow night! ;0) Thank you to the girls for tramping through the "forest" and receiving NUMEROUS mosquito bites...12 in all...to capture the real YOU!

Can you believe the EYES on this girl! WOW - she's gorgeous - inside and out. And her SISTER...she cracks me up! She hammed it up for every picture...such a FUN day I had! Not done proofing pics - these are the first ones that caught my eye. There are 4 more siblings to go through! LOVE THIS FAMILY!
